Long-term Disability

Long-term disability insurance protects employees from financial hardship when an injury, illness, or disability prevents them from working. Unfortunately, some disability insurance carriers deny many legitimate claims for disability benefits.

There are two kinds of long-term disability insurance claims: breach of contract claims and bad faith claims. Breach of contract claims can be made when the insurance carrier fails to provide the coverage that had been agreed to in the insurance policy. Bad faith claims are made when the insurance company settles for less than the claim is worth, denies insurance benefits due under a policy, delays response to a claim, or fails to promptly and thoroughly investigate a claim.

If you have been denied disability insurance, contact the attorneys at Gilreath & Associates today. We can evaluate your claim and advise you of your rights to compensation.
